I want to welcome each of you to Whitworth University! You are about to begin one of the most exciting times in your life, and we are committed to make your "Whitworth experience" a meaningful and rewarding one.

You often hear that Whitworth is a special place, and it is! Its depth of character, traditions, diversity, commitment to academic excellence, as well as its beautiful natural surroundings contribute to making Whitworth an exemplary environment. We want you to enjoy the campus and take full advantage of everything Whitworth offers and, in doing so, I encourage you to become an active participant in your community of the heart and mind.

You are part of a strong campus community that values academic excellence and belonging. You have already demonstrated your capacity to thrive here at Whitworth, your student life team is here to help you accomplish your goals.    

This student handbook is designed to give you an overview of the variety of student services available to you at Whitworth. It also includes our collective responsibilities to ensure a healthy, safe and productive environment for you to live, learn, work and play for the next two or four years. Please read the handbook thoroughly. Take advantage of the information when you have questions, need support or are looking for opportunities for involvement on campus or in the Spokane community.
