Paid Leave
Whitworth is happy to offer the following paid leave types for all benefits-eligible staff members.
Vacation: Vacation hours are earned and accrued based on position type and years of service. Depending on position type, accruals start at 10 or 15 days per year. All positions max out at 20 days per year.
Sick time: Eligible employees begin accruing sick leave at the start of their employment. Accrual rate is based on FTE status, and the maximum accrual for each month is eight hours.
Holidays: Whitworth's administrative offices are closed on specific holidays for which employees will receive pay. You can find a list of paid staff holidays here. In addition to these holidays, Whitworth offers 16 hours of floating holidays to be used throughout the year.
Community service: Whitworth provides all regular and interim employees with eight community service hours each year to support a wide variety of service projects.
