Whitworth University Health Services (health services) is here to support your healthcare needs. We are a clinic right on campus. We provide high-quality healthcare, offered by experts in college health, and we partner with you for your well-being. The FAQs below will answer common questions about our services and help you in preparation for your arrival on campus.

  • What forms am I required to submit to health services before I arrive on campus?

    New first-year students are required to complete documentation related to immunizations, insurance, information on tuberculosis risk and several other items. Access to and information about completing these requirements can be found through the online student health portal. You can access the portal by clicking on the button below and entering your Whitworth University network username and password.

      All incoming undergraduate and MSAT, OTD, DPT fall students
    • Jan. 1
      All incoming undergraduate and MSAT, OTD, DPT spring students
    • Rolling submission based on cohort start dateprior to start at Whitworth University (graduate/continuing studies/certificate programs on-campus, on-campus/online only)

    Missing or incomplete health forms may result in class registration holds or other actions.

  • What are healthcare preparations I can take before coming to campus?

    • Before you head to campus, visit with your local healthcare provider and/or mental healthcare provider to make sure you have what you need when you come to Whitworth.
    • If you have chronic healthcare or mental healthcare needs, make a plan with your regular healthcare provider(s) and/or mental healthcare provider(s) to ensure the best transition to life on a college campus, away from home and your usual healthcare resources.
    • Be sure your required and recommended immunizations are all up to date.
    • Whitworth University Health Services strongly recommends carrying private health insurance. Review your health insurance plan and what it covers once you are in Spokane, Wash. If you need to use your health insurance off campus, such as at a pharmacy, it will be important to bring your insurance card with you.
      • If you currently do not have health insurance, please check out the Washington State Health Plan Finder.
      • If you are an international student, you will have the required international student health insurance coverage through Whitworth University and Total Scholastic Solutions while enrolled.
    • If you take medications, bring an adequate supply as you make the transition to campus and make plans with your current healthcare provider for access to necessary prescription refills.
    • Pack a first aid kit and self-care supplies for minor healthcare needs you might experience when away from home. 
  • What healthcare items should I bring to Whitworth?

    • If you take any medications, bring an adequate supply as you transition to campus and make plans with your current healthcare provider for access to necessary prescription refills.
    • If you use any healthcare supplies, bring them with you as you transition to campus.
    • Pack a first aid kit and self-care supplies for minor healthcare needs you might experience when away from home.
    • Bring your health insurance card and information in case you need to use off-campus healthcare services, including pharmacies.
    • If you are an international student, you will have the required international student health insurance coverage through Whitworth University and Total Scholastic Solutions while enrolled.
  • Who is eligible for services at Whitworth University Health Services?

    Most students pay a Wellness Fee as part of tuition and fees. This provides eligibility for health services at Whitworth.

    • All undergraduate full-time, part-time, international and transfer students are eligible to receive services.
    • Master of science in athletic training students
    • Doctor of occupational therapy students
    • Doctor of physical therapy students
