Recommended Vaccinations

Immunizations are a safe and effective way to protect you and those around you from illness. Vaccine-preventable diseases can spread quickly in campus settings. Immunization is one of the best ways to protect individuals from getting and spreading diseases that may result in serious illness, disability or death.

Whitworth University Health Services recommends that all students are up to date on their routine childhood immunizations, COVID-19 and the yearly influenza (flu) vaccine. Please see information on these vaccines at the following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) links.

Upload recommended routine immunizations and yearly influenza and COVID-19 immunizations through the health services online student health portal. Click the button below and log in using your Whitworth network username and password.

Students may wish to compare their current immunization history with the CDC recommended immunization schedule. For students not up to date on their routine immunizations, visit the catch-up immunization schedule for those through 18 years of age. The CDC also provides an adult immunization schedule for those 19 years and older.

Students should talk with their healthcare provider about immunizations prior to arrival to Whitworth University. Immunizations are available at most provider offices and retail pharmacies. Whitworth University Health Services staff can help direct students to vaccine resources when needed.
