Billing

All undergraduate, Master of Science in Athletic Training students, Doctor of Occupational Therapy students and Doctor of Physical Therapy students pay the Wellness Fee associated with tuition and fees. Therefore, most healthcare visits to Whitworth Health Services are free of charge. This includes wellness care, illness and injury care, psychiatric care, many basic labs and x-rays.
Some costs not covered include travel health visits, prescription and over-the-counter medications, immunizations and self-care store items. Any charges incurred are billed to the student account.
Some students may choose to submit a claim to their private insurance company for any items that require payment. Whitworth's health services staff can provide appropriate documentation needed for private insurance claims.
