Let's Talk
Counselors from the Whitworth Counseling Center will be available across campus throughout the week for informal consultations. This is an alternative to the traditional 50-minute therapy session but is not a substitute for therapy. It is a drop-in service where students can have a brief and informal one-on-one conversation with a counselor from time to time. This year, 2024-25, we will have counselors in two different locations and two virtual Zoom options as well.
How the Zoom option works:
If interested, just click on the relevant link to access the Zoom meeting with a counselor. You will be seen individually on a first-come, first-served basis. There may be a wait in the virtual waiting room if the counselor is seeing another student. Please wait; the counselor will be with you as soon as they are able. Wait time depends on how many students are in the virtual waiting room. No one will see you or your name except the counselor.
Mondays, 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Zoom
Tuesdays, 1-2 p.m.: WALT Synergy Room (begins Sept. 24)
Wednesdays, 3-4 p.m.: Robinson Hall Room 120
Thursdays, 3-4 p.m.: Zoom
Please note: Let's Talk is not a substitute for counseling and does not constitute mental health treatment. Let's Talk consultants can listen to specific problems, help explore solutions, and introduce you to what it's like to speak to a member of the counseling center staff. Other options for care at the Whitworth Counseling Center include individual counseling, group counseling and 24/7 phone consultation. Check our webpage for more information on other services. In a crisis, please call 911 or the counseling center's 24/7 mental health access line: 509.777.3259 (press 1).
Let’s Talk is not available over school breaks.
