Services Guide
The following is a non-exhaustive list of the services provided by the Whitworth Facilities Services Department. Unless otherwise indicated, please submit a work order or contact us at 509.777.3254 or fsadmin@whitworth.edu to request any of these services.
Remodels, significant building improvements, change-of-use or other complex projects requiring estimates and/or additional levels of approval should be requested initially through the Facilities Services Project Request Form.
Although most minor repairs and building or campus infrastructure are operating costs of facilities services, some requests are considered department-specific; others require additional project funding. Please see our funding sources page for additional guidelines on what constitutes a department or project request.
Interior
- Custodial services in all areas (except residence hall rooms)
- General building maintenance and repair
- Electrical and lighting maintenance and installation
- Plumbing maintenance and installation
- Heating and air conditioning maintenance and installation
- Furniture and equipment repairs (for replacement of office furniture, email scottbrooks@whitworth.edu)
- Carpet cleaning, repair and replacement
- Lock repair and installation
- Painting
- Nameplates and wall signage
Exterior
- Lawn care and irrigation
- Snow and ice removal
- Campus wayfinding and road signage
- Forestry management
- Road, parking lot and sidewalk maintenance
- Waste collection
Other
- Key-cutting (submit a physical key request (SAR))
- Furniture purchasing (email scottbrooks@whitworth.edu)
- Paper order delivery (submit a bulk paper request)
- Campus delivery and moving (submit a work request)
- Event setup and support (submit an Event Request Form to the Events office)
- Pest control
- Van rental (submit a motor pool vehicle request)
- Vehicle registration for on-campus parking (visit Vehicle Registration & Parking for more information)
Services NOT provided by Facilities Services
- Parking and traffic enforcement is handled by security (see the Campus Vehicle Policy or appeal a citation)
- Security services including safe rides and unlocks (call 509.777.4444)
- Information systems and instructional technology support (create a job ticket by emailing the help desk or by calling 509.777.3911)
- Residence hall furniture and mattress replacement or special requests (contact your AC or the housing office)
- ID photos (visit student life, upstairs in the HUB; call 509.777.3271 to schedule)
- ID card access for buildings and rooms with card readers (request via the System Access Request Form)
- Cozzetto's Laundry Service maintenance (report issues directly to Cozzettos or via facilities services)
- Vending machines (report issues with Pepsi or Empire food machines to Jennifer Toulouse-Lee in athletics)
- Conference and event scheduling (contact the Office of Events & Entertainment Technology)
