Vision

In the Dornsife Center, we aspire to:

  • Advance Whitworth's engagement in Spokane, centering the public purpose of higher education within Whitworth's mission to “honor God, follow Christ and serve humanity."
  • Champion Whitworth’s tradition of award-winning excellence in community engagement by promoting innovation and reciprocity between the institution and the community.
  • Engage students to deepen their understanding and appreciation of human differences, build their capacity to change the world, explore their vocational discernment, and instill an enduring commitment to be active in their community.
  • Elevate the assets and knowledge of our partner communities to foster reconciliation and mutual understanding in the pursuit of an equitable future.
