Lauren Hunter
Residency Director
Associate Director for the Office of Church Engagement
When I became a parent of my now 2-year-old daughter, I felt like everything changed – how I experienced God, my life rhythms, my community, the pressure I felt around sharing my faith with my family, what I wanted from the church... all of it. I desperately wanted partners in the journey as I considered God’s care for me and for my daughter. I love working with children’s and family ministry leaders and considering ways the church can live into its true identity as the family of God.
Kierstie Renninger
Coach
Director of Family Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Coeur d’Alene
I believe church leaders have a unique opportunity to walk alongside families as they weave a web of faith. I am passionate about supporting and equipping families with the tools they want, to engage with and experience God alongside their kids!
Lauren Hackman-Brooks
Coach
Director of the Office of Mission Engagement at Gonzaga University
I am a parent, educator, ministry professional and spiritual director in the Ignatian tradition. I delight in accompanying others as they infuse and adapt meaningful spiritual practices into their rhythms of daily living and look forward to walking with churches and families in this way through the Formed in Faith Residency.
Andrea Farley
Coach
Canon for Discipleship for the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane
I’m drawn to this work because I believe to the core of my being that we follow Jesus best when we do so together. When we value the spiritual experiences of those of all ages and abilities in our communities, we journey in the way of love that Jesus modeled in loving and valuing each person we encounter. It is energizing and meaningful work to try out innovations and practices that foster spaces where we learn and grow as disciples together, and I personally come alive while engaging this work.
Anne Wilcox
Pedagogy Specialist
Emeritus Professor of Education at Whitworth University
My love of education began 50 years ago with a degree in Christian education. After teaching in K-12 public and private schools with a focus on multilingual education and after becoming a professor of teacher preparation in higher education, it is a thrill for me to return to Christian education through the residency project! Equipping Christian educators to provide opportunities for children and families to experience a healthy, vibrant relationship with Christ – and each other – refreshes me daily.
Alexis Perry
Communications Specialist
Assistant Director for the Office of Church Engagement
Becoming a parent drastically changed the way I understood God and God’s love. I was also in a season of life where I was discovering so much richness in the diverse traditions and history of the church, all of which was helping me make sense of my new experience as a parent. I see such an incredible opportunity to equip parents to enter this new phase of life with rich theology and practices to connect them with God, who is the true sustainer and ultimate co-parent!
