We can't wait for you to become a Pirate this fall. Use this page and the International Student Checklist to stay on track before you arrive to campus.

For students who enroll after checklist item deadlines, please complete those items as soon as possible, and at the very latest, before you arrive to campus in the fall.

International Student Checklist 2024

ACADEMICS AND IMMIGRATION

• Sign up for a class registration appointment (available via phone, Skype or Zoom) – Invitations to sign up begin going out via email in April and continue throughout the summer.
• Order final official transcripts and final exam or national exam results. Have your school send them to Whitworth via email at wuintladmissions@whitworth.edu.
• Apply for your U.S. visa and email our office at wuintladmissions@whitworth.edu when you have received it.

HOUSING

• Submit your Housing Preference Form or Housing Waiver Request – due June 10.
  • Students (including transfer students) are required to live on campus if it has been less than two years since their high school graduation.
  • Receive your campus housing and roommate assignment via email in mid-June.
  • Review what to bring when you move to campus.

BILLING

• Receive and review the Whitworth Billing Guide in June, and prepare to pay your bill.
• View your bill on Self-Service in early July.
• Make your first required payment on your fall semester balance – due Aug. 9 or prior to arriving on campus for early programming or athletics.
• Have plans in place to pay the remainder of your fall semester balance – due Sept. 9.

HEALTH FORMS

• Review and submit your Whitworth Health & Immunization Forms – due Aug. 1.

FINAL DETAILS

• Make travel plans to arrive in Spokane on Aug. 25-26 for International Pre-Orientation.
• Register for New Student Orientation via the link sent to your email in August.
• Look up and order your required textbooks for fall semester in August.
• Optional: Access Handshake, our student employment portal, to see fall student employment opportunities posted during Orientation Week. Information about accessing Handshake will be sent to students in August.

• Arrival Dates for International Students: Aug. 26-27, 2024*
• International Pre-Orientation: Aug. 27-30, 2024
• New Student Orientation: Aug. 31-Sept. 3, 2024
• Classes Begin: Sept. 4, 2024

*If students have already purchased airfare for arrival on an earlier date, please notify the international admissions staff at wuintladmissions@whitworth.edu.
