New Faculty & Lecturers
Orientation
New faculty (including lecturers and administrative faculty) gather for two full-days and two half-days at the end of August for conversation and community-building that acquaints them with Whitworth's mission and culture. Additionally, beginning July 1, the associate provost sends a weekly email with information and resources to help new hires get acclimated.
Mentoring
New faculty will be paired with an established faculty member for one-on-one conversation during their first year. Introductions are made just prior to Faculty Retreat in late August. Mentors are supportive colleagues who can help you navigate the ups and downs of your first year at Whitworth.
