Young Life Scholarships

Whitworth offers one-year, $1,000 scholarships for incoming students who plan to participate in Young Life leadership as part of their college experience.

Requirements

• Enroll in Foundations for Christian Leadership (TH 172/173), a two-credit course taught each semester of incoming students' first year that is designed to help students build a strong spiritual foundation for Christian leadership as they consider service opportunities in a local Young Life club, campus ministry or church youth group, and many other community ministry organizations.
• After completing the foundations course, students are evaluated and encouraged to take on leadership duties in the area of ministry to which they feel called.
• Students seeking to continue their involvement in Young Life leadership at Whitworth beyond their first year are encouraged to take additional courses that challenge students to live out and expand their sense of calling in Young Life, youth ministry and the world.
• Be admitted to Whitworth University.

Application Process

After you are admitted to Whitworth University, please click here to apply for a Young Life Scholarship. The deadline to apply for a Young Life Scholarship is Feb. 15. However, we will continue to consider applications as funds are available.

Students selected to receive the Whitworth Young Life Scholarship will be notified by email, and the scholarship will be added to their Whitworth financial aid offer.
