Applied Associate Degree (A.A.S. or other) Transfer Policy
If you've earned an applied associate degree from a regionally accredited institution, you may be eligible for junior standing in one of our evening degree programs. Whitworth's School of Continuing Studies recognizes your applied associate degree as a valuable foundation toward completing your bachelor's degree.
Applied Associate Degree Credits Accepted by Whitworth
Whitworth will accept credit from qualified applied associate degrees (A.A.S or other) meeting the following criteria:
- earned at a regionally accredited institution; and
- earned within the last 10 years (transcripts for applied associate degrees older than 10 years will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis and/or the application will be assessed by the SCS admissions committee on the applicant's current use of the degree in her/his profession); and
- included at least 90 quarter or 60 semester credits.
Students with a qualified applied associate degree will transfer in Whitworth's School of Continuing Studies with 60-64 semester credits (depending upon the total number of credits earned through the applied associate degree) and will be granted junior standing.
