Message from the Dean 

Welcome to our community of students, faculty and staff in the School of Business at Whitworth University. The School of Business is distinctive because our faculty members offer personal instruction, advising and mentoring to each and every one of our students. The primary vocation of our faculty is to teach. While we do conduct research – most of which can be applied to real-world business – we do not allow our research to get in the way of our providing the best possible learning environment. Rather, our goal is to work closely with students to prepare them to be successful business leaders and to assist their transition into the professional world through internships, consulting experiences and service-learning projects.

The faculty of the School of Business have gained their expertise through both university studies and many years of working for prominent regional, national and international companies. Their professional experience includes leadership positions with Bank of America, Lehman Brothers, American Express, Dutch Bros, Grand Fir Analytics and the Weyerhaeuser Company. Classes in the School of Business are small, averaging around 20-30 students. Graduates earn degrees in accounting, business management, economics, finance and marketing.
