What is a "digital badge" and what is it used for?

Upon successful completion of the certificate, you will earn a digital badge. It can be displayed, accessed and verified on your social media newsfeeds to showcase the skills and competencies learned. Digital badges offer many benefits, including:

• Recognition for acquiring new skills

• The ability for hiring managers to understand acquired competencies

• Representation of continued learning and professional development

Do I need to purchase any books or other materials? 

Nope! Everything is provided for you. 

What if I can't make it to all of the Zoom sessions? 

Participants can miss up to two of the total 17 sessions. After that, the learning objectives are compromised and the digital badge cannot be awarded.

I haven't been in school in 20 years, am I going to be able to do the work and keep up with my peers?

Yes, absolutely. Just because you haven't been in school doesn't mean you've lost the ability to learn. This certificate if perfectly suited for people who are wanting to exercise their learning muscles again without the pressure of grades. You get out of it what you put into it, and everybody's growth edge is different. From that perspective, there is no such thing as failure in this program. What have you got to lose?

I don't have an undergraduate degree, or a background in business. Can I still participate in a certificate that is offered through the Graduate Studies in Business program?

Yep, you sure can.
