Research & Internships
Students in the chemistry department are encouraged to be involved with research at some point during their undergraduate careers. Many options, both on and off campus, allow students to be involved in research areas that fit their interests. In each project, students are trained in specific research techniques that allow them to participate in, rather than just observe, the process. On- and off-campus research opportunities are available for all chemistry students pursuing B.S. degrees.
Also, many employment opportunities (for teaching assistants, solution preparers, tutors, stockroom attendants, etc.) are available within the department.
