Thoughts of a Black Club
Designed by Quantae Anderson, Class of 2004
Thoughts of a Black Club
The Black Student Union was established in the spring of 1969 to give black students a better chance to relate to the social and academic communities on the Whitworth campus. The BSU sponsors events and activities that show and explain the black culture to those that are not often exposed to the culture. “The Black Student Union will establish an organized base from which black students might better relate to the academic and social community as a whole and on the Whitworth campus." (The Whitworthian; January 17, 1969)
