How to Contact Your Student
Students must provide their own telephones if they wish to use a landline phone number. If they do have a phone connected in their room, they will need an answering machine to receive messages. Students living in East Hall do not have telephone connections in their rooms; they are welcome to use the courtesy phones located in the lounges.
By regular mail
Each student living on campus is assigned a campus address. Addresses include a four-digit student box number and should be written as follows:
Whitworth S.B.# _ _ _ _
300 W. Hawthorne Road
Spokane, WA 99251
Whitworth’s university post office can accept packages from all carriers. The post office and students’ mailboxes are located in the Hixson Union Building (HUB), where we accept and secure all shipments. Mail is not delivered to students’ dorm rooms, so please use their four-digit mailbox number to ensure swift processing.
Use first initial and last name, both lower case, no period between, then the year your student is expected to graduate, followed by @my.whitworth.edu.
Example: Donna Elliott, a potential graduate of 2016, would be firstname.lastname@example.org.
With common last names, use entire first name: email@example.com.
