Patriotism and Hope Students and faculty at Whitworth College strove to create an atmosphere where everyone felt secure and was encouraged to learn. At the same time healthy discussion was also encouraged. This was a time of radical change in the lives of students across America. Yet in spite of the sad happenings around them, the students responded with patriotism and hope.
