The Seventeenth President: Dr. William P. Robinson Dr. Robinson, shown here with his wife Bonnie, became president of Whitworth College in 1993 and is still presently serving in the position. Over the past decade Robinson has served the college, he has worked on maintaining Whitworth’s educational mission of Christian commitment and intellectual openness. He has also worked on establishing strong, productive relationships with Whitworth’s constituencies, students, and alumni. Robinson’s hope is to leave a legacy in which Whitworth alumni will love Whitworth College and never allow the college to be less than what they experienced.
