The Frolic Flourishes: 1951-1952
During the next few years, the festival expanded to include events like slalom and downhill ski races and an ice skating party. In 1952, ski events had to be moved to Signal Point, Post Falls, Idaho because the Mt. Spokane ski lodge had been destroyed by a fire earlier in the year. This move did not affect the coronation of royalty though. Students from each graduating class nominated two individuals from their class to be on the Snow Court. The student body then voted for the Snow Frolic King and Queen from these candidates.
