Early Computer Rendering of the Lecture Hall
One of the most important features of the new building was to be the new lecture hall capable of seating 230 students at a time. The teaching theatre was a must for Whitworth planners, mostly for use in the school’s cornerstone Core program. According to Whitworth planners, the theatre needed to have aisles, rear entry, seats with integrated note taking tables, and a flat stage with whiteboards and a screen for PowerPoint and other presentations. At first, two flat screen televisions where considered but in the end, a projection screen and integrated projector were chosen.
