Football player at Whitworth College
William Paul was born May 7, 1885 at Port Simpson B.C. His parents were pioneering missionaries in Alaska. Not much is known about his father other than that he was white and married a Tlingit woman. His mother, Tillie Paul Tamaree was an interpreter for the early Presbyterian missionaries in Alaska. Both his parents played a large role in what would later lead William to become involved in the ministry.
