The Beginning Richard V. Evans came to Whitworth from a position as minister of music and youth at First Baptist Church in Portland, Oregon. After undergraduate work at Wheaton, he receivedmaster’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Oregon. He previously taught music at Skagit Valley College and his specialty is instrumental music. New Faculty - Whitworth Today October, 1973
