Weyerhaeuser Hall, Whitworth's New Direction
Designed by
Weyerhaeuser Hall, Whitworth's New Direction
During the summer of 2003, ground was broken on a new building that would add classroom space and faculty offices to the Whitworth College campus. This building would also provide a new home for the Global Commerce, Political Science, Sociology, and History departments. It was decided that it would be called Weyerhaeuser Hall after a significant trustee, and it was constructed as the centerpiece for the Faith in the Future program. The building covers 33,000 square feet and also boasts a 230 seat teaching theatre designed with the college’s signature Core program in mind. The building also started a new theme of new, modern, and efficient buildings.
