I like my major because… it is challenging and has many practical applications for good in our world.

Why I chose to attend Whitworth: When I began my senior year in high school, I never believed that I would be attending Whitworth the next fall. I applied to Whitworth primarily because of the free application and friends, but ended up falling in love with the community at the university. In the end, I simply felt called to be at Whitworth, and I could tell the school stood up for its values.

Research/special projects I'm involved in: I have done summer and semester research in the physics department, and have also worked several on campus jobs.

Advice for incoming students: Make sure you are involved with the Whitworth community, and take advantage of the events that are offered. If you put yourself out there and make an effort, you will definitely find a good group of friends.

What I plan to do after graduation: I plan on attending a graduate school in some discipline of engineering.
