Favorite thing about Whitworth: I really like the small classes; it's great to know always know someone in your classes and to get one-on-one time with your professors. There are a lot of opportunities you get at Whitworth that you wouldn't get at a larger school.
Best class: There are so many good ones and so many great professors that it's hard to pick just one, but I think so far my favorite was Non-violent Defense and Conflict Resolution with John Yoder. In the class, we had a lot of good discussion and I really liked the books that were assigned. It was definitely a class that made me actually think critically and made me aware of different perspectives.
Favorite place or hang out on campus: I love hanging out in the coffee shop, specifically the big comfy chairs by the fire. It's my favorite place to do homework and it's also a great spot to relax with friends.
Why I chose to attend Whitworth: I really liked the personal feel of Whitworth when I visited and the atmosphere of a small school. The peace studies major at Whitworth was the deciding factor for me.
Advice for incoming students: Get involved and meet new people! There is so much happening at Whitworth all the time and getting involved is a great way to meet new friends and find where you fit in at Whitworth.
What I plan to do after graduation: I'm not totally sure at the moment. I know I want to work for a non-profit organization, but past that, my plans keep changing.
