Database Administrator Systems Analyst
As a database administrator systems analyst, Irina is responsible for managing and administration of multiple SQL servers, developing complex interfaces and applications using MS SQL server and .NET technologies. She is responsible for supporting, developing and troubleshooting the data-warehouse processes, creating and maintaining SSAS cubes and working with the Institutional Research Committee, HR, admissions, financial aid, academic affairs, and the registrar’s office on special projects and data submission of federal reporting (IPEDS), the Common Data Set, and tenth-day reports.
Irina has her B.S. degree in electrical engineering with minors in computer science and physics from Gonzaga University (Spokane, Wash.) and her computer associate degree from Togliatti State University (Russia). She is a Microsoft certified technology specialist (MCTS) on SQL server and has more than 15 years of combined programming experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
Irina’s husband, Clay, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and Pacific Lutheran University, was a software engineer at Hewlett-Packard (Liberty Lake, Wash.) until the company relocated to Malaysia. He is currently employed by the U.S. Customs Department.
The Horners have three beautiful children. As a family they enjoy traveling, watching movies, playing games, participating in Boy Scouts activities, attending kids' piano, violin, and dance recitals, and cheering for the children at swim meets and baseball games.
