Whitworth University Academic Scholarships for International Students

International Freshmen

First-year undergraduate students (freshmen) will be considered automatically for the following academic scholarships based on
GPA and/or test scores, depending on the individual type of test. Eligible tests include any one of the following: the SAT, ACT, IB
exams, GCE A-Level exams, TOEFL, IELTS. If you have taken more than one of these exams, we will award based on the highest test
results.

These scholarships are renewable through four years of study.

SAT (old & new test) or ACT

Mind & Heart Scholarship: $22,000 per year for four years
3.75 GPA* AND 2020 SAT (2400 scale)/OR 1420 (1600 scale)/OR 30 ACT

Presidential Scholarship: $20,000 per year for four years
4.0 GPA* regardless of test scores OR 3.75 GPA* AND 1870 SAT (2400 scale)/OR 1330 (1600 scale)/OR
28 ACT

Trustee Scholarship: $18,000 per year for four years
3.9 GPA* regardless of test scores OR 3.6 GPA* AND 1800 SAT (2400 scale )/OR 1290 (1600 scale)/OR
27 ACT

Whitworth Scholarship: $16,000 per year for four years
3.5 GPA* regardless of test scores OR 1720 SAT (2400 scale)/1230 (1600 scale)/OR 25 ACT

Founder's Scholarship: $14,000 per year for four years
3.4 GPA* regardless of test scores OR 1650 SAT(2400 scale)/OR 1190 (1600 scale)/OR 24 ACT

*Whitworth uses weighted GPAs (either from transcripts or calculated internally) to determine academic scholarships. International transcripts are evaluated and converted to the U.S. GPA system.

International Baccalaureate Higher-
Level Exams

Trustee Scholarship: $18,000 per year for four years

Whitworth Scholarship: $16,000 per year for four years
Three higher-level exams with grades of 6,5,5 or 5,5,5

Founder's Scholarship: $14,000 per year for four years
Three higher-level exams with grades of 6,5,4 or 5,5,4

GCE A Levels

Mind & Heart Scholarship: $22,000 per year for four years
Three A-Level exams with grades of A,A,A or A,A,B

Presidential Scholarship: $20,000 per year for four years
Three A-Level exams with grades of A,B,B or A,B,C

Trustee Scholarship: $18,000 per year for four years
Three A-Level exams with grades of B,B,C or B,C,C or A,C,C

Whitworth Scholarship: $16,000 per year for four years
Three A-Level exams with grades of C,C,C

Founder's Scholarship: $14,000 per year for four years
Five O-Level grades of A

TOEFL / IELTS

Mind & Heart Scholarship: $22,000 per year for four years; GPA equivalent to 3.75/4.00 and 103+ TOEFL or
7.5 IELTS

Presidential Scholarship: $20,000 per year for four years; GPA equivalent to 4.0/4.0 OR 96-102 TOEFL or
7.0 IELTS

Trustee Scholarship: $18,000 per year for four years; GPA equivalent to 3.6/4.00 and 88-95 TOEFL or 6.5 IELTS

Whitworth Scholarship: $16,000 per year for four years;; GPA equivalent to 3.6/4.00 and 79-87+ TOEFL or 6.5 IELTS

International College/University Transfer Students

The following scholarships are determined at the time a student is accepted to Whitworth University: Transfer scholarships will be awarded to students who are enrolled full time, who have completed one or more terms at an accredited college or university, and who are working toward their first bachelor's degree. The scholarship amount will be determined from the student's official college transcript(s). If the student has attended more than one university, Whitworth will calculate a combined cumulative GPA. If the student has completed less than one full term of college work, the scholarship will be determined based on the student's high school cumulative GPA.

Academic Transfer Scholarships

Provost's Scholarship: $18,000 with a 3.75 or higher cumulative GPA

Deans' Scholarship: $16,000 with a 3.50-3.74 cumulative GPA

Faculty Scholarship: $14,000 with a 3.25-3.49 cumulative GPA

Pirate Scholarship: $12,000 with a 3.0-3.24 cumulative GPA
