Whitworth Church Matching Scholarship

Whitworth University Alumni Scholarship

Whitworth University Diversity Scholarship

  • Description: Awarded to students from an underrepresented racial or ethnic population (Hispanic, Asian American, African American, or Native American). OR to students who during the past four (4) years, have lived in a culture outside their own where they experienced being in the significantly underrepresented population for more than a year.

Whitworth Offers Scholarships in Partnership

Whitworth offers scholarships in partnership with a number of outside organizations, including the National Merit Scholarship program, the National Presbyterian Scholarship Program, the Washington Scholars Program, the Spokane Scholars Program and others.

Whitworth Endowed and Donor Sponsored Scholarships

Scholarships established by individual donors, corporations and foundations are available for students currently attending or planning to enroll at Whitworth. These scholarships are available only to students attending Whitworth full time. Scholarship amounts vary, but generally will be greater than $500 and less than $5,000.

  • For students currently enrolled at Whitworth and planning to continue their enrollment as full-time students in the next academic year: Applications are due Jan. 31, 2012.
  • Students entering Whitworth University for the first time as full-time matriculated day students in the fall: Applications are due March 1, 2012.

Reporting Expected Outside Scholarship Funds
The Whitworth University Financial Aid Office requests that all expected outside scholarships be reported to our office by phone, by e-mail or by clicking on this easy online form. We will include these scholarships in your financial aid award. This information is also used by the student accounts office to recognize outside scholarships as a resource toward your costs and to reduce the amount you owe the university.
