Whitworth University Certification in Ministry Program

In the early 1990s, Whitworth began the Certification in Ministry Program, designed to train students for entry-level positions in churches and Christian organizations. Since that time, the program has served the Christian movement well, both in the United States and around the world. A high percentage of our graduates find meaningful roles in various kinds of ministries.

What I most appreciated about the Certification in Ministry Program was that it prepared me so specifically for actual ministry situations. The material in each class was taught and presented in a way that pushed us to think of related ministerial situations and then to wrestle with possible applications. We were also challenged constantly to integrate our theology and our ministry to ensure that each was reflected in the other.
